A cosy country pub, tucked away in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside, the Pipe and Glass stands on the site of the original gatehouse to Dalton Park on the beautiful Dalton Estate.
With parts of the building dating back to the 17th century, the Pipe and Glass underwent a major refurbishment in 2006 and has since been tastefully transformed both inside and out. The pub now boasts five luxury boutique garden rooms, an exclusive private dining suite, an elegant, airy restaurant and a traditional bar area. As an added bonus for those who enjoy dining al fresco, the pub has two relaxed outdoor dining spaces, promising a true sensory experience as diners soak up the sounds and take in the countryside views whilst they eat.
With a passion for local produce, the most recent redesign includes a kitchen garden and herbarium, so whether you’re tucking into classic ‘pub grub’ dishes or enjoying the highest standards of modern cuisine, you can be sure each dish is infused with the season’s finest, fresh flavours.
James’ priority is keeping the restaurant full and his customers satisfied, through bringing his modern touch to traditional meals. This approach to business means customers desires are at the forefront which, alongside his natural creativity, delivers exceptional results, winning the Pipe & Glass plaudits of accolades year on year.
In 2010, the Pipe and Glass was awarded East Yorkshire’s first Michelin Star, an award that it has retained ever since. As former Michelin Pub of the Year, other notable recognition includes the Good Pub Guides National Dining Pub and Yorkshire Dining Pub of the Year, as well as consistently featuring in the Morning Advertiser Estrella Damn Top 50 Gastropubs.
