Hus Vedat is the Executive Chef of Yosma, one of London’s most talked about Middle Eastern restaurants. Since its opening in summer 2016, the restaurant has quickly gained a loyal following and is described by The Londonist as “the new face of Turkish food in London”.

This talented chef describes his food philosophy as being simple; “Choose good ingredients from producers that are passionate. Treat those ingredients with respect. Lick them with fire and let them shine.” And respect has come naturally to Hus who has gained an army of fans over a career that began with training at the University of Brighton before he quickly moved through the ranks to lead some of London’s most loved kitchens.

In addition to a period spent working as Executive Chef at Harrington Hall Hotel in London, Hus spent several years as executive Chef of St. Ermin’s Hotel. An upscale four star London hotel, St Ermin’s underwent a huge investment in food and beverage during Hus’ tenure which also saw the hotel gain 2 AA Rosettes and move from a ranking of 432nd in TripAdvisor’s London ratings all the way to 18th place.

Hus mixes his work as Executive Chef of Yosma with the role of Group Executive Chef of its parent company the Good Food Society. Founded in 2013 the group operates a collection of four internationally inspired restaurants in London and has quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional gastronomy.
